KOS is one of the largest independent, family-run, managed print services providers, with a wealth of over 20 years’ experience within the print solution industry. Due to expansion we are looking to hire a Trainee Photocopier Field Engineer.

Base for our Engineers is at our Head Office in Redditch although the role will require traveling around the country within the working hours of 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join a dynamic and exciting team who thrive on helping people become the best version of themselves.

Our Field Engineers do not only attend site to repair devices when they become faulty but also prepare devices for installation as well carrying out the delivery and installations as well. It will also be expected that you spend some time in our workshop at head office preparing/repairing devices.

Full training will be provided from day one with the successful candidate completing written and physical modules until becoming a fully qualified engineer.

What you’ll do! You will shadow our Experienced Field Engineers to learn the following:

  • Travel to customer sites to repair print equipment at their premises in line with KOS guidelines.
  • Installation and removal of devices, including basic networking with customer’s system and operator training.
  • Diagnosing problems to solve faults involved with printing, copying and scanning.
  • Troubleshooting customer samples received and diagnosing error codes.
  • Deliver a first-class customer experience.
  • Providing telephone/IT remote assistance for service calls that can be solved remotely.
  • Provide support to the service desk as required.
  • To follow procedures to get all customers set up on our remote monitoring software.
  • Occasional time spent onsite at our workshop preparing/repairing devices as required.
